COUNCIL MEMBER VAN BRAMER DONATES SCHOOL SUPPLIES COLLECTED FROM 2ND ANNUAL DRIVE
On Wednesday, October 5th, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer joined students, parents and staff at IS 125 in Woodside to donate supplies from his 2nd Annual Back to School Supply Drive for local schools. This year, the Council Member’s drive received over 4,000 items that were donated by community members. The items were dropped off at five libraries throughout District 26 and his district office at 47-01 Queens Boulevard. The items included book bags, writing materials, rulers, and much more!

Council Member Van Bramer Launches 1st Community Design Initiative for Noonan Playground
On Monday, October 3rd, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer joined students from PS 199 and community members to kick off his Noonan Park Community Design Initiative in Sunnyside. Council Member Van Bramer has secured $600,000 in order to redesign Noonan Park’s Playground. In an effort to increase transparency and community input in the playground’s design process, Van Bramer will be the first elected official to ask the community for their vision for the design of a public space.

COUNCIL MEMBER VAN BRAMER CELEBRATES FUNDING AT EMERALD ISLE IMMIGRATION CENTER
Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer joined community members and staff at the Emerald Isle Immigration Center in Woodside for an information session explaining naturalization eligibility requirements, the naturalization process, and the rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship.

Council Member Van Bramer and DOT Commissioner Announce Parking Improvements in Sunnyside
New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan, City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, Congressman Joe Crowley and State Senator Michael Gianaris today announced that short-term metered parking is being added and parking regulations are being adjusted along Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside to make parking more accessible for motorists, especially the customers of local businesses lining the corridor.
