Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer Holds Town Hall Meeting With MTA

On Wednesday, January 11th, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer held a town hall meeting with the MTA at Sunnyside Community Services in Sunnyside. MTA officials fielded the community’s questions and concerns about issues with the 7-train.

Council Member Van Bramer Addresses Community Board 2 at the First Meeting of the Year

On January 5th, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer addressed Community Board 2 at the first meeting of 2012 where he gave a report on substantial community improvements, which have been accomplished over the past year. He also spoke about his push to deter the establishment of a new gentleman’s club in Long Island City and the upcoming renovations of Thomas P. Noonan Park.

COUNCIL MEMBER VAN BRAMER PARTNERS WITH SANITATION TO BRING MORE SERVICES TO THE AREA

On December 29th, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer joined officials from the Department of Sanitation (DSNY) to announce the placement of 24 new trash baskets and additional street sweeping in Sunnyside, Woodside, and Long Island City. The baskets and additional cleaning arrive after Council Member Van Bramer fought for the DSNY to increase collections throughout District 26.

COUNCIL MEMBER JIMMY VAN BRAMER DELIVERS THOUSANDS OF DONATIONS FROM FIRE RELIEF DRIVE TO FAMILIES

On Thursday, December 22nd, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer delivered over 3,000 donated items to support victims of the fatal fire that occurred in Woodside on November 18th.  The Council Member was joined at his district office by members of the displaced families, local Pastor Daniel Gilland and the Red Cross where the items were distributed amongst the families. These donations of diapers, food, cleaning products, clothing, and toys will help to ease the burden the families have faced since the fire.
