“The placement of these trash baskets south of Queens Boulevard helps facilitate the cleanliness of the neighborhood and improves the quality of life for community residents,” said Council Member Van Bramer. “I want to thank DSNY for working with my office to help provide both the residents of Sunnyside and Woodside with their requests.”
Council Member Van Bramer has also fought for the DSNY to increase collections throughout the 26th District. In December, the Council Member announced additional street sweeping in Woodside, Sunnyside and Long Island City and the placement of 24 new trash baskets.
