Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer visited the Self-help Big Six Towers NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) in Woodside, which offers first rate on-site services to its senior residents. Van Bramer has allocated $10,000 in funding to the Self Help Big Six NORC program, which is vital to transportation services to and from medical and social service programs, as well as Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) devices. This funding is in addition to the $30 million Van Bramer and the City Council restored for senior services throughout the city. Van Bramer continues to fund programs and services for seniors in the district.
“Ensuring the comfort of our seniors and the services essential to them is extremely important to me. I will continue to be there for the seniors of the Big 6 and greater Woodside,” said Council Member Van Bramer.
